French Neo Renaissance Solid Oak Carved Kingsize Bed Frame

Antique French Carved King Size Bed Frame Offering for sale this wonderful and very rare carved solid oak panel bed sourced recently from a Chateaux in France. The bed was made in 1880, the name of the artisan is carved on the frame. The bed has an imposing headboard, footboard and side rails boasting a large coat of arms style pediment, fleur de lys detail, primitive figural carvings, large finals flanked by thick barley twist columns, and stands on original castors with metal capped feet. The huge footboard has carvings on both sides. In terms of condition the bed looks amazing, we have cleaned, waxed and polished the bed sympathetically to preserve the beautiful patina. On close inspection you will find light marks, surface scratches and old indentations. We found a small trace of old wood worm but this has been thoroughly treated again out of caution in the workshop. You won’t be disappointed with this amazing bed it looks fantastic.
