For sale is a good quality early 18th century George I walnut bureau, having a fall front opening to reveal a fully fitted interior comprising of drawers, pigeon holes, a well and a leather writing surface. Below this there is an arrangement of four drawers (two short over two long) each with ornate brass handles. The bureau is raised on elegant bun feet and is in very good condition for its age. A most unusual feature about this bureau is its self locking "masonic lock" leading us to believe it may have been originally situated in a masonic temple.
