Georgian Bureau Bookcase Secretaire Glazed Mahogany

This is an attractive early 19th Century (c.1820) English Georgian Cuban mahogany astragal glazed secretaire. The cuban mahogany boasting a well figured flamed grain and rich patina. The upper section with a flared cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosed adjustable shelving. The lower section with a deep drawer enclosed writing surface, cubby holes and miniature drawers. Fitted a pair of panelled doors below - flanked by columns - enclosed filing drawer and shelving, raised on a plinth base. The piece dismantles to two sections for ease of movement. Some loss to veneers.
