Description
This is a wonderful late Georgian Attar (or more commonly known, Oxford Lavender Water bottle). These charming scent bottles were sold containing small amounts of perfume and were intended to be thrown away after use, making it a rare item nowadays. This example is four sided with delicate gilded decoration and a hexagonal collar. The bottle dates from the late Georgian period circa 1830 and unusually, retains the original glass peg stopper. A charming collectors piece.
