Description
A late c.18th George III period, mahogany inlaid, caddy top, chest of drawers. This chest of drawers of small proportions, with oblong shaped top with ebony strung square edge. Bank of four full width drawers all graduated in height, with strung ebony edges, original gilt brass handles and plates, brass oval escutcheons, and locks with working key. Moulded base edge and raised on original bracket feet. Pine drawer linings and sides.
In good working condition, and presents very well. It has been through our workshop and been sensitively serviced, thoughtfully cleaned and waxed, and now is very much ready for use.

This chest measures approximately 81 cm (32") tall, 85.5 cm (33.625") wide, and 46.5 cm (18.25") deep.

Some marks and blemishes in keeping with age and use. Some minor, high quality running repairs, not immediately obvious and all well polished in. Original handles and locks, two escutcheons have been replaced, with period, closely matching ones. All drawers run well. No loose joints. Fully serviced. Wax polished, now ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
