Superb strong Victorian coopered oak barrel, it is from Sheffield. This good looking piece originated as a 19th Century Beer barrel, it is made with oak staves and bound with iron hoops.
As it is the the barrel would make a great table for your beer or wine, if the top was removed it could be used as a planter for your Christmas tree or as a container for logs by the fireside.
The barrel is in good sound condition and charming to look at, it is 17” high and 15” in diameter.
