Description
This is a grand antique overmantle mirror. An English, giltwood wall mirror in Italianate taste, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
Enhance your chimney breast wall with this generous mirror that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Giltwood presents delightful golden tones to the frame. Sparkly mirror plate presents minimal foxing and a clear reflection.
Pinched top with concave corners, a relief patera to the centre. Beading accentuates the frame edge as a decorative touch. Wide, fan-shaped lower corners with appealing cross-hatch pattern. Dressed with a set of brass hanging loops for wall mounting.
This is a wonderful antique overmantle mirror, of grand proportion and appealing Italianate appearance. A treat for the larger room. Delivered polished and ready for the home.
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee with all of our antiques.
