Description
This is an attractive smaller sized chest of drawers dating to the Edwardian era.
The chest is well made and heavy but not particularly large, it will add a pop of colour to any room and provide a good amount of storage for clothing or sundries.
Made from solid oak the front is fitted with three spacious drawers which are finished with decorative aged brass drop handles. The drawers run fairly well for their age and the interiors are in clean condition. The chest is finished with unusual bracket feet and a scalloped apron.
I have hand-painted this piece in my own mix of water based green paint which I call 'Sea Foam Green', a mid green colour which has a hint of blueness. The paintwork has been lightly distressed and then waxed for a smooth and tactile finish.
