Description
Possibly one of the finest examples of these ever popular clocks we have had the pleasure to offer for sale.
Made by the World famous maker Gustav Becker (the movement is clearly marked with his logo) the clock dates from around 1890.
The 8 day, weight driven movement has just been fully overhauled by our Bhi registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
The 8" enamelled dial has black Roman numerals interspaced with red fleur-de-lis and a brass surround with beautifully cut hands. It has a subsdiuary seconds dial, all in first class order.
The walnut and ebonised case is to behold. (Such a pity our very poor photographs don't actually show it) It retains it's original French-polished finish with a rich, warm patina. It has a quartered, book-matched walnut veneered backboard. Dimensions show include the finials.
A clock that will grace any household no matter where it is displayed.
All cards accepted.
