I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop in Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Description
Of sporting interest! A fine limited edition engraving of a man fishing by Henry Wilkinson (1921-2011). Other copies of this engraving are entitled "Salmon fishing", although this copy does not have the title. The silkiness of the water is particularly impressive and the strong colours of the man's clothing contrasts well with the subdued colours of the wild landscape.
Wilkinson had a career spanning 60 years and was famous for his hunting shooting and fishing paintings and engravings. Wilkinson apparently hand coloured all his engravings, so no two are exactly the same. This example is an early impression, numbered only 32/150. Signed on the block lower left and also in pencil by the artist lower right on the mount.
