A very tranquil and soothing view of Friars Crag, Derwentwater (identified verso) by Keith Burtonshaw. Signed lower left. There is a lovely sstillness about it.
Keith Burtonshaw (1930-2008) was a self taught artist, the son of a train driver, who specialised in watercolour landscapes of the Lake District, and other areas of outstanding beauty, but also painted wildlife studies of birds etc. He also did some painting in oils. He exhibited widely and was a member of the British Watercolour Society, among others.
