This is a large antique buffet server. An English, mahogany side cabinet with display tiers, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840. Striking buffet, with beautiful colour and open display shelves, displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Select stocks present fine grain interest throughout. Delightful colour, with rich caramel hues beneath a wax polish finish. Arranged as a trio of graduated tiers, supported upon fascinating C-scroll risers. Upper tier finished with a distinctive wavy edge apron. Generously sized, inset drawer to the mid point, with blind pull. Pair of cabinet doors accentuated with carved leaf moulding. Right hand door dressed with a brass lined, inset working lock — key present. Left hand door opens to reveal a pair of plate slides, with a trio of shelves opposite.
