This is a large antique sideboard. An English, oak dresser cabinet by Liberty and Co in the Arts & Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Select oak shows fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays. Deep caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish. Delightful back rest, the galleried shelf hosting an original glazed cabinet between distinctive pilasters. Upper cabinet with inset, working lock — key present, also operating the lower cabinet locks. Quality bevelled mirror shows desirable light foxing and presents a great reflection.
