I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop in Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Description
A lovely coloured limited edition lithograph of Coniston Water, (no.10 of only 20) by Leslie Moffat Ward (1888-1978). Ward was born in Worcester but spent most of his life in Bournemouth where he was a teacher. He started by gaining a scholarship to the Drummond Road Art School in Bournemouth and went on to study at the Royal Academy Schools. He was elected an Associate of the Society of Painter-Etchers in 1916 and became a full member in 1936. He worked in a variety of styles and mediums and exhibited with Ra, Re and Rsw. This is a rare piece, being one of only 20, and is dated 1952. The limited colour pallette gives a fresh uncluttered feel to the scene, which is full of crispness and light.
