Exceptional, fine and impressive set of twelve antique Georgian Newcastle sterling silver Old English pattern table/serving spoons; an addition to our silver flatware collection.
These exceptional antique Georgian Newcastle sterling silver spoons have been crafted in the Old English pattern.
The anterior surface of each serving/table spoon handle terminal incorporates the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a double-headed eagle displayed.
The reverse of each 18th century spoon is embellished with single drop heel, in addition to a pip to the handle terminal.
These exceptional set of antique silver spoons were crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Robertson I & David Darling.
Such examples with a fine set of deeply and clearly struck hallmarks are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
