Description
Original 19th Century (c.1820) French Normandy Wedding oak longcase clock with very fine carved with flowers fruit and basket decoration.
Still with the original warm patination.
The oak case was never bleached and still has its original old wax patination all over.
For this type of clock, the clock is in very strong condition, still with the original fully cleaned and serviced 8 day movement, in fully working order with brass pendulum.
Still with the original enamel dial and brass hands. Signed:- Mariné Levasseur à Notre Dame.
Notre Dame is a small town in Normandy.
Interesting to see is the original brass hand shaped door handle.
No missing pieces.
