Description
This is a very decorative and impressive pair of antique Italian Venetian giltwood wall sconces late 18th Century. The two leaf carved up-scrolled candlebranches issuing from cartouche shaped panels carved with flowerhead and stylised vase finials. They date to the mid to late 18th century, possibly re-gilded in the 19th Century and of wonderful colour and patination. A rare and unusual pair of opulent rococo influenced Venetian carved giltwood wall sconces which will work well in any decorative setting.
