Pair of 19th Century Jacob Petit Paris Porcelain Perfume/scent Bottles

A beautiful pair of Jacob Petit Paris porcelain perfume/scent bottles, Louis Philippe I, circa 1840, of cushion form, with swan corners and pad feet. Beautifully painted and gilded with flowers and scrolls, the gilded sides tooled with vines below a reticulated border. Each with large gilded stoppers. Unmarked. Measurements: Height: 14.7cm Width: 14.7cm Depth: 14.7cm Condition: Expertly restored to near-original condition. We have never seen these without restoration to the swan corners and although examination under ultraviolet light does not show restoration, it must be assumed that one or more of the swans has been restored. There is some light wear to the gilding to the top of the stoppers. Notes: Although these are unmarked, other examples with the same swan corners have been marked for Jacob Petit. His extravagant style is so distinctive that there is no doubt these are examples of his work.
