Pair of Antique Georgian Period Inlaid Mahogany Console Tables
An incredibly fine pair of antique Georgian period inlaid mahogany console tables. They were made in England, they date from around the 1790-1810 period.
The quality is outstanding, the are beautifully made and have a wonderful, elegant design. They have serpentine shaped tops, standing on beautifully tapered legs terminating in spade feet. Each has a pull out brushing slide that comes out from beneath the top, the drawers have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and beautiful brass handles. There is fine and beautifully executed satin wood inlay on the drawer fronts and round the top edges, the tops are also cross banded.
We have had them gently polished, the condition is excellent for their age, with just some minor wear and patina remaining here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
