I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today most of my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.

I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. These are a pair of early 19th Century antique mahogany candle boxes. Each box has a very attractive carved upstand at the top and then has a bevelled front panel which slides up and can be removed as necessary. They were probably designed to stand on a sideboard or table but could be easily used as hanging boxes. They are in excellent condition and they both have a very good, original old colour.
