I trade in small silver, jewellery and objets d'art. I sell primarily at antiques fairs and in cabinets in Christique Antique Centre in Dorking. I try to find unusual and interesting stock and like to keep turning it over, so I can buy more. Postage and packing are free within the UK - unless explicitly stated otherwise. All fine jewellery will be supplied with a box. If the box/case is described in the text, it will be the one photographed, but may not be if it is not mentioned explicitly. I keep hardly any stock at home, if you want to buy something and need it urgently, I will usually do it the next day, but it may take me some time to respond if you need extra photographs and/or details about the piece that I do not have to hand, as I typically visit the antiques centre just once a week. If you don't see what you're looking for - feel free to send an enquiry via the site. I have only been able to list a portion of my stock.

Description
Pair of Georgian navette-form salts with clear glass liners – London 1799 – William Abdy II - together with a pair of spoons of the same age - London 1802, Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart - 10cm long x 2.5cm across the bowl. This pretty pair of late 18th Century salts are typical of the period - pierced, navette-form with clear glass liners on four legs. The salts have bright-cut chased decoration to the sides, each has a vacant oval cartouche and thread decoration to the legs. They are offered together with a pair of Old English pattern silver spoons of the period - All hallmarks are good and legible, with the exception of the maker's/sponsor's mark on one of the salts. The glasses are conceivably original.

declaration
SW15Collectables has clarified that the Pair of George III Navette-Form Salts & Spoons (LA203682) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1799-1802
condition
The salts are in excellent condition for their age- there are no splits, tears, holes or noticeable deformation. One of the maker's/sponsor's marks is rubbed beyond recognition. There is discolouration to the interior - not visible when the glasses are in (I'm reluctant to over-polish). The glasses are in good usable order without cracks or material chips, but one has nibbling to top outer edge around both sides.
