Wick Antiques was established by Charles Wallrock in the early 1980s. Having grown up in the Antiques world Charles developed an extensive wealth of knowledge. Starting out as a ‘man with a van’ he quickly gained a good reputation and embarked on a longstanding relationship with Harrods. He was later joined by his wife, Caroline Wallrock. Description
A pair of early 20th Century (c.1910) English antique walnut window settees, each with a rectangular back and C-scroll arms, the seat rail bracketed on all four sides, raised on four cabriole legs carved with low-relief scrolls and terminating in hairy cloven hooves, the stretcher centred on two volutes enclosing fleshy acanthus leaves. Restoration: re-upholstered.
