Description
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, signed Buren, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the front and back covers London (import mark) 1918 together with a sponsor’s mark for William Sparrow, a Birmingham based importer. The case has engine turned detail to both the front and back. There is the odd small mark / bruise but overall the condition is good.
The front cover has enamel filled Roman numerals surrounding a small central lens. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the lens is in good condition. There is some white reflection showing on the lenses but that’s all it is.
The white dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed through a jeweller’s loupe, there is a short faint hairline between 10 and 11. Special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
