Description
The watch has a grade 620 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 9,585,941 which dates it back to 1920.
The watch measures 57mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop, so a little larger than a standard 50mm pocket watch. The case is nickel and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, an English company and supplier of cases to Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, a small indentation to the back and light surface marking, nothing serious at all.
The glass lens has a couple of short light scratches, not very noticeable at all to the naked eye.
The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes on a single graduated chain, 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The chain has a more golden hue than the watch but this is how they came to us. Also included is a double sovereign case for half and full sovereigns.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
All Prices Include UK Postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us for international shipping prices (Ddu, details in delivery information section below). Due to Eu regulations, we no longer post to the Eu or Northern Ireland.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a Vat registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
