Pocket Watch: Antique Waltham Traveler Pocket Watch, 1914

The watch has a stem-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working nicely. The movement is signed American Waltham, USA, Traveler and it has the serial number 19,914,074 which dates it back to 1914. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of cases, and supplier of most of the cases for Waltham UK pocket watches. The case has light surface marking from use and a small mild bruise to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1914 piece. The glass lens is in good condition. The white enamel dial has a very faint hairline crack under the sub seconds dial but otherwise it is in nice condition. The watch has its original gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.
