Description
Victorian Gentleman's golden brass faux Guinea gambling coin fob for a pocket watch chain. C ~ 1890's (dated 1788 - these faux Guinea coins were used by the Victorians as gaming counters). Similar to the fob I supplied to Pinewood Studios. Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph. Measures; 2.8cm height (including the top ring), 2.2cm diameter and weighs 2.5 grams. Faux Sovereign coin which depicts King George 111 to the front with the back having a Royal armorial to centre and around this is stamped in raised script (slightly rubbed); In Memory Of The Good Old Days and is dated; 1788. Crisp 'pie crust' circumference and large robust secure brass top ring. Superb clean and bright condition with no damage and just a bit of overall wear / patina / little surface scratches commensurate with age. Will arrive in a new velvet presentation pouch and be very securely and safely packed. Please view my feedback as guarantee of my integrity. ***Will Ship Worldwide*** UK Free!
