Description
Gentleman's highly unusual large brass & amethyst glass fancy link original Victorian Dandy (Arts & Crafts) pocket watch chain / Albert by George Stockwell with original stamped swivel T bar and big dog clip.
Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'.
Measures; 30.5cm / 12" total length and weighs a very respectable 26.2 grams.
Bright crisp circular shaped engine turned 'pie crust' brass links which are interspersed every 5th link with three faceted amethyst glass bead links (each measures 6mm diameter) with brass roller links in between - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them and reflect the light beautifully.
Secure big brass dog clip to one end (operates correctly) and original large brass swivel T bar to the other end (measures 4.3cm length) which is clearly stamped; Xlnt (excellent), G.S., (George Stockwell).
Also has a short length of amethyst glass link chain just below the T bar with round link to end - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired.
Excellent clean and bright condition with just a tiny bit of very light overall wear/patina and little surface scratches (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
Will arrive in a new presentation box as shown and be very securely and safely packed.
