Original late 19th Century (c.1890) Victorian gentleman's large equestrian horse stirrup pocket watch stand. (The pocket watches and chain shown are for display purposes only and not included). Measures; 4" / 10.2cm height, 3 1/2" / 9cm width and weighs a heavy 177.5 grams. Highly unusual large and sturdy silver nickel pocket watch stand in the form of a beautifully detailed equestrian horse stirrup. The base is elaborately adorned with flowers and leaves set upon an attractive engine turned background and is ideal to display a pocket watch chain. Secure original swivel hook to hang your pocket watch on (drop from end to base of stirrup is 7cm / 2 3/4"). Excellent condition with no damage or wear and just a tiny bit of very light overall patina (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
