This is a rare 19th-century Indian antique silver and white metal amulet necklace. The amulet has a disguised cap on one end, which unscrews with an exaggerated screwing mechanism to reveal a container, this is used for keeping talismans or other protective objects. The amulet is made from silver and white metal. It has a suspension loop decorated with flower heads. The vintage sterling silver box-chain necklace is a later addition, stamped with Italian silver hallmarks and 925.
