I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. The boat shaped top section is divided into four divisions with a fretted carrying handle, two of these sections can easily be lifted out to accommodate larger magazines or books as required, see picture. There is a single oak lined drawer with its original brass knob, all sitting on four finely turned legs with their original brass cup castors. This canterbury is in excellent, strong, original condition. with all its old polished surface which follows all the way round, making the canterbury centre standing if required.
