Royal Doulton Figurine ~ "A Victorian Lady" ~ HN 727

This attractive early 20th century vintage Royal Doulton English porcelain figurine "A Victorian Lady" ~ Hn 727, decorated in a pink and green colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1925 to 1938. One of fifteen colour variations of this particular figurine listed in Charlton's Standard Catalogue of Royal Doulton Figurines, this particular figurine was we believe produced in 1927. This belief is supported by the set of marks to be found on the underside, comprising, in green, the Royal Doulton backstamp as in use from 1922 to 1927, this accompanied in red by the Painter's Monogram C.N., at present unidentified, but recorded as working at Doulton c.1927, and in black, A Victorian Lady, Potted by Doulton & Co., H.N. 727.
