Royal Doulton Porcelain Figurine ~ "A'Courting" ~ HN 2004

Quite delightful ! This charming mid 20th Century vintage Royal Doulton English porcelain figurine "A'Courting" ~ Hn 2004, decorated in a palette of red, black and grey, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine and was issued for just seven years, from 1947 to 1953. Lovely colourway, Romance Tuppence-a-Bucket in perfect condition. The base fully marked in green with printed Royal Doulton backstamp, "A'Courting", Copr. 1946, Rd. No. 846735, { for 1946 }, Rd. No. 23905., Rd. No. 131/46, and in script Hn 2004 above the Painter's Monogram 15, for Graham Cubley, listed as working at Doulton from 1946 to 1996, impressed numeral 8 and illegible model number, plus Whitley Collection paper label, indicating that the happy couple have at some point enjoyed a visit to Florida.
