Description
A very striking pedestal coffee cup or ice cup by Royal Worcester with a simple yet opulent border of brilliant celeste bleu enamel and gilding with further gilt detailing to the handle and around the foot. Forming part of an armorial service both pieces bear a family crest with a Spanish coronet for the rank of Count. The shield has a gilt and black chequerboard to the lower half and a goat above. Impressed mark to the saucer, c.1870.

The cup measures 6.8cm (2 11/16") high and 6.5cm (2 9/16") rim to rim, 8.9cm (3 1/2") to the handle. The saucer measures 14.1cm (5 9/16") wide.
