Saint Joan of Arc Statue from a France, Signed Rouillard Angers
We have a life size sculpture of St Joan in full battle dress. This is an amazing piece dating from the late 19th Century and shows the saint in battle dress holding on high the standard and her trusty sword.
It is impossible to emphasise the fineness of the detail in this piece, from the chain mail and metal of the armour to the leather and fine skin tones of her skin.
Saint Joan stands on a small plinth with her helmet and mace at her feet, the folds of her dress and the standard are decorated with gold fleur-de-lys detail.
The statue was made in Angers by Pierre Rouillard and she is in magnificent condition.
The statue is 87” tall overall, Saint Joan is 63” tall, and the base on which she stands is 32” square. The sword and the standard can be removed for transportation. She is very heavy.
