Scottish Silver Agate Brooch

A superb example of a late Victorian Scottish agate brooch or kilt pin. A variety of specimen agates, including bloodstone, moss agate and the rarer pink agate are interspersed with Montrose Agate (found only along the Montrose coastline of North East Scotland). The silver work has a very pretty chased pattern along the edge and in between the agates. This will look super on a jacket/blazer, a scarf, or even as a Kilt Pin Closed via a D fastening and retains the original pin fastening to the back, original safety chain with a later pin on the chain (see photos). Unmarked as was common for these pins/brooches. 5CM /2Inch diameter at widest point (Scalloped edge).
