Shapland & Petter Inlaid Mahogany Side Cabinet

A fine quality Edwardian mahogany side cabinet by the renowned makers, Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple (stamped to locks 'S & P , B', registration marks to rear). Made from a very high grade of dense mahogany timber, now with a lovely depth of colour and finish. The decoration comes in the form of satinwood inlaid detailing, including a central oval panel and paterae. A pair of glazed doors flank a central panelled door and there is a single drawer above surmounted by a pagoda top. All doors and drawers are fitted with the lovely original brass handles. The end cabinets and the central cupboards have shelves inside. The cabinets are fitted with their original lining material which is now somewhat stained, we can get this replaced with a new lining material of your choice.
