Description
This is a beautiful, hallmarked silver cufflink-come-trinket box from one of the lesser known silversmiths operating in Birmingham from the 1900’s up until the late 1970’s. John Rose however, have quite a loyal following based around their staples including Card cases, cigar & cigarette cases, condiments, decanters labels, napkin rings, salvers, tea services, coffee sets, trophy cups, vestas and calling card cases.
So, accepting this Art Deco style box is smart and almost clinical in external appearance with an engine turned lid, we have finished the interior base in a softer contrasting blush pink velvet.

condition
condition
Condition is good, with a very few small dinks and light surface scratching commensurate with age and use. We believe the heavy box is a fine item in which either cufflink, jewellery or many other smaller items could be elegantly stored. So, if you, your partner, or a friend would like an item of functional and beautiful storage for loved items, this elegant box could be 'a gift'.
The rectangular cartouche to the lid remains vacant.
