Description
Large Spode Felspar porcelain slop bowl decorated in the grapevine pattern number 4003 with a rich underglaze blue ground with shaped reserves with finely painted garden flowers edged with a pale yellow enamel. Alternating with bunches of grapes in the same yellow enamel, defined with gilding and gilt vine leaves either side. A gilt sawtooth edge frames the pattern and gilt grape vine runs around the outside. Puce Spode Felspar mark to the base, c.1825.

In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration. There was an enamel painted device in the base but this has been all but rubbed away. Minimal handling wear otherwise.
