Sterling Silver Beer / Water Jug - Antique (1925)

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver beer / water jug; part of our antique dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique 20th century sterling silver beer/water jug has a plain baluster form onto a circular spreading foot, in the classic 18th century style. The surface of this impressive antique silver jug is plain and unembellished. The upper rim of the jug is encompassed with a plain applied moulded border. This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with a sterling silver handle ornamented with a scrolling thumbpiece and lower terminals. The handle is further ornamented with impressive cut card decorated sockets, in junction with the body. The beak style spout of this sterling silver jug is embellished with a vase-shaped moulding with a drop shaped form to the nadir, in addition to further cut card decoration.
