The body of each sauceboat is embellished with impressive chased floral and foliate decoration accented with a scrolling leaf bordered panels of scale motif diaper pattern. The decoration to each body incorporates a shaped scroll bordered vacant cartouche to either side. The feature ornamentation to the underside of the lip of each fine sauceboat depicts a scene of five grouse style birds nestled together on a grassy terrain with a hillside landscape to the background.
