Stunning Detailed King Size Portuguese Bed

Absolutely stunning bed. Gorgeous detail seen in the central casting which features a vase and flowers, this is surrounded by a delightful woven metal wire trellis/surround. A particularly lovely paint finish on this bed by our lead finisher, painted to harmonise with the beds original naturally aged painted brass knobs which we think looks quite beautiful. Professionally restored to be sturdy and practical, the frames have been shot blasted, primed and hand painted with Little Greene’s Sage and Invisible Green and Neptune’s Driftwood, waxed to preserve and give a soft sheen. The side rails have been strengthened and adapted to support wood slats or a bed base. Suitable for standard UK mattress size 5’ x 6’6” / 150 x 200cm Price includes wood slats (Sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2” deep upholstered bed base – Bed photographed on slatted base with one of our Bordeaux mattresses. Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 30 years.
