Stunning Iron & Brass King Size Irish Bed in Specialist Paint Finish

This stunning bed has been painted by the lead designer here at bedsteads, inspired by the beautiful colours seen in Cornish tin ore using a number of Little Greene tones – Jack and Lamp Black, Lt Peach Blossom, Ashes of Roses and Pearl. The frame was Shot Blasted and primed prior to painting. Lovely shaping in the frame and incredibly detailed clamps with a rare and attractive design. Brass discs feature on the foot end over the castings. Beds of this style and size are becoming increasingly rare to find. Original The bed has been checked over to ensure sturdy construction and all joints fit well and are secure. Side rails have been adapted to support wood slats and modern length and king-size mattress 5’ x 6’6” / 150cm x 200cm. Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. Photographed with a 2” bed base and our Chartres mattress.
