Stunning Late 19th Century French Bronze Sculpture Signed E.Drouot

Stunning 19th Century French antique bronze sculpture depicting a man fighting a tiger, set on a verdi marble base. Signed in the bronze E.Drouot with the Paris foundry stamp. This bronze sculpture is in excellent condition, wonderful detail and with a rich two tone patination. E'douard Drouot (1859-1945): Born on April 3 1859 in Sommevoire, France. He studied at the E'cole des Beaux-Arts in Paris under the guidance of French sculptor Mathurim Moreau. He exhibiting at the Paris Salon from 1889- onwards, exhibiting many of his bronzes and marble sculptures. He was considered to be a extremely skilled sculptor and his pieces are highly sought after today.
