Superbly Painted and Carved Decoy Duck
This is a good 19th Century decoy carved in fruit wood, the feathers and features are delicately painted in quite fine detail, he has carved eyes, this is a very talented painted piece. Not the original colours, there is a little scuffing to the paint.
The decoy is 16” long beak to tail, 7” high and 7” wide.
