Here we have a table with wonderful provenance as it is from the estate of Lord and lady Leicester of Holkham Hall, Norfolk. Fine, elegant, decorative and of unwavering quality is what you would expect from one of the finest houses in the country and this table has it all. The table circa 1870 was made by T H Filmer and Sons of Berners Street and Oxford Street London and there is a label on the underside. There is a burr Walnut top with gilded edge. Below there is a revolving book trough with turned and gilded spindles. There is a beautifully turned stem with ebonised and parcel gilt surfaces. There is a stunning tri-form base again all in burr walnut with original ceramic white castors. A superb example with wonderful provenance in great retail condition ready for your home.
