Description
A stunning watercolour by the highly renowned Victorian artist Thomas Sidney Cooper (1803-1902), of sheep in snow. This is a truly typical example of Cooper’s work. He specialised in painting cows and farm animals, earning him the nickname of “Cow Cooper”.
Cooper first exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art in 1833 , going on to exhibit many times, eventually he was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy in 1845. His work can be seen in galleries worldwide.
The painting is in excellent condition with the original back, and original gilt frame. It is clearly signed in the bottom right hand corner and the title in the bottom left hand corner.
