A truly tremendous Art Deco Modernist desk in oak with ebonised accents and sitting in lovely historic order - we would image very much a used and cherished piece. Not seen another like it, so may well have been a commissioned piece, no maker's marks or number stamps. So much to admire and enjoy about this one - the numerous angles, the stepped top, the stepped ebonised base to the well shaped legs, original aged leather tooled top, clever use of the angled grains on the five drawers and the shaped knobs to name a few… Condition is nice - we have wear and historic usage marks in most areas of the desk. The leather top is age worn of course. All drawers are running well and the desk sits firm and is of solid construction. We have ensured the desk is ready to place and enjoy.
