This is an exquisite mahogany side cabinet from the Edwardian period. The quality of the inlays is exceptional by any standards (the best we've seen in a very long time), with mythological beasts and birds intertwined with foliate decoration throughout and beautiful classical heads in the main panels.
This is a substantially made piece of antique furniture with six bun feet and reeded columns supporting an undertier with a line inlaid back on which sits five cupboard, the end and centre glazed.
Inside two of the doors are Ivorian labels for T.Simpson & Sons, Cabinet Makers Halifax.
