T.Simpson & Sons Mahogany Side Cabinet c.1905

This is an exquisite mahogany side cabinet from the Edwardian period. The quality of the inlays is exceptional by any standards (the best we've seen in a very long time), with mythological beasts and birds intertwined with foliate decoration throughout and beautiful classical heads in the main panels. This is a substantially made piece of antique furniture with six bun feet and reeded columns supporting an undertier with a line inlaid back on which sits five cupboard, the end and centre glazed. Inside two of the doors are Ivorian labels for T.Simpson & Sons, Cabinet Makers Halifax.
