This is a very majestic and elegant bracket/mantel clock in a beautifully figured mahogany case with an equally impressive movement.
Uniquely, the pendulum can be seen working through a glazed aperture to the underside of the dial. The case retains it's original French-polished case with a lovely, age-related patina. It has a stepped, canted top with pineapple finial. To the front are applied rosettes and to the sides are lions head carrying handles and a glazed rear door. It stands on brass bun feet.
The 8" white convex dial has black Roman numerals and fine cut "birds beak" hands. It has a cast brass bezel. The 8 day, twin-fusee, 5 pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell with a crisp resonating chime. It has just been fully overhauled by our Bhi registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
The brass, London style pendulum can be seen working from the front of the clock.
