Unique & Attractive Victorian King Size Bed

Unique classic Victorian king size iron and brass bed with unique brass feature on the foot end. This bed features a delightful combination of round iron and square brass. With Delightful brass facings and rod ends on the head and foot. Very attractive oval finials with beading detail. All original brass cleaned and highlighted. Fabulously sturdy 2inch bed posts balance the overall feel of this bed, all tied in with Farrow and Ball’s Hague Blue Colour, waxed to preserve and protect. The bed has been professionally restored with rails extended. The jigsaw corner joints have been checked for good fit and the whole frame has been shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish. Antiqued brass knobs, collars and rails. The side rails have been strengthened and adapted to support wood slats or a bed base. Price includes wood slats (Sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2” or 4” deep upholstered bed base – Bed photographed on 2” bed base. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices.
